(The Council elected in '05 had a 34/17 male-female split, by the way). Of the five borough presidents, one is a woman: Helen Foster of Queens (that's 20%). And, of the five district attorneys, none are women. This brings the current crop of elected New York City government officials to a total of 19 women out of 64, or 30%.
